ADMISSION INFORMATION


Admission requirements for MSc program in HTA

  1. an applicant must hold a Bachelor degree from an office of the higher education commission (Thailand) accredited or recognized (International) institutes with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.50; If the GPA is less than 2.5, the applicant must have experience in health policy or health technology assessment or be involved in health policy or health technology assessment (either government or private) or has publication related on health policy or health technology assessment.
  2. Exemption from the above conditions may be granted by the Programme Committee and the Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies; under exceptional circumstances

Admission requirements for PhD program in HTA



For application in Plan 1:

  1. an applicant must hold a Master degree (related to medical or health care or public health or health economics) from an office of the higher education commission (Thailand) accredited or recognized (International) institutes with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 plus having experience in academic or practicing related to health policy or health technology assessment for at least 2 years and being the first or corresponding author of at least one international publication published in peer-review international journal.
  2. an application must hold scores for the english competence standard and english competence assessment criteria:
    • a TOEFL Paper-based score with a minimum of 500; or
    • a TOEFL Computer-based score with a minimum of 173; or
    • a TOEFL Internet-based score with a minimum of 61; or
    • a TOEFL-ITP score with a minimum of 500, attained from a test are administered by one of the following institutes.
      • - The Language Center, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University; or
      • - A testing center approved by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University
    • an IELTS score with a minimum of 5.
  3. Exemption from the above conditions may be granted by the Programme Committee and the Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies; under exceptional circumstances.



For application in Plan 2.1:

  1. an applicant must hold a Master degree (related to medical or health care or public health or health economics) from an office of the higher education commission (Thailand) accredited or recognized (International) institutes with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 plus having experience in academic or practicing related to health policy or health technology assessment for at least 2 years.
  2. an application must hold scores for the english competence standard and english competence assessment criteria:
    • a TOEFL Paper-based score with a minimum of 500; or
    • a TOEFL Computer-based score with a minimum of 173; or
    • a TOEFL Internet-based score with a minimum of 61; or
    • a TOEFL-ITP score with a minimum of 500, attained from a test are administered by one of the following institutes.
      • - The Language Center, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University; or
      • - A testing center approved by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University
    • an IELTS score with a minimum of 5.
  3. Exemption from the above conditions may be granted by the Programme Committee and the Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies; under exceptional circumstances.



For application in Plan 2.2:

  1. an applicant must hold a Bachelor degree (related to medical or health care or public health or health economics) from an office of the higher education commission (Thailand) accredited or recognized (International) institutes with first class honored.
  2. an application must hold scores for the english competence standard and english competence assessment criteria:
    • a TOEFL Paper-based score with a minimum of 500; or
    • a TOEFL Computer-based score with a minimum of 173; or
    • a TOEFL Internet-based score with a minimum of 61; or
    • a TOEFL-ITP score with a minimum of 500, attained from a test are administered by one of the following institutes.
      • - The Language Center, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University; or
      • - A testing center approved by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University
    • an IELTS score with a minimum of 5.
  3. Exemption from the above conditions may be granted by the Programme Committee and the Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies; under exceptional circumstances.
